White Oak & Ash Wood A-Frame Breadboard Ends Table that my hubby & I designed/built for our family. Build in progress pic & Finishing stages – Rubio Monocoat on Ash, from left – Unfinished, Rubio Precolor Easy in Vintage Brown, and Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus2C in Cotton White.
Elongated my “Arvid” Walnut bench seen here.
Liked buildin’ the walnut one so much, I made one in Ash wood.
I designed this walnut bench after being inspired by Viking ships. Chiseling on the sculptural half-lap joints made this design/build particularly fun. Seeing this piece go from a drawing to a model to a life-size bench made the artist in me happy beyond words.
This walnut Bookcase with chamfered face, shaker doors, and brass hardware has been my favorite design/build to date. I love the way all of the mitered chamfers meet up to give the whole bottom casing an inset look… it’s lines complex, yet minimalistic.
This emotive piece has been one of my all-time favorites to cut & build… the unique joinery of the angled leg made it just tricky enough to keep this starving artist interested.
Triangular River-Reclaimed Cypress & Walnut Side Table I made from scraps from a previous project. The unique apron to leg half-lap joints on this piece made it especially fun for me (and Bailey, wooflol) to work on! 😉
Jatoba (Brazilian Cherry) & Goncalo Alves (Tigerwood) Console Table with tapered, doweled & mitered half-lap leg joinery, inset drawer fronts with pinned rabbet joinery, and chamfered top.
